An amusing theory, but his bio* mentions the following:
Fazzur was an avid scholar while young, so avid that his father feared at first that he would prove to be no soldier. Instead, his scholastic energies aided him in his rapid rise through the military.
I have no problem in assuming that somebody (whether Sartarite or whatever) misunderstands Wideread as having too-many-advisers.
