Once upon a time, IMG Carmania was like early Russia (Gardarike). The Fronelan aristocracy (the Gloranthan counterpart of the Norse aristocracy) ruled upon a stolid mass of Peladan (i.e. Slavic) farmers, and was being civilized by the Lunar (or Byzantine) Empire.
I wonder what in G:CotHW suggests a Turkish or Persian equivalent for Carmania!? :/
