Ah; I was thinking of socerors in a somewhat weaker sense, I confess, then. Perhaps the sort of individuals I was touting are better regarded as 'wizards of a certain philosophical attitude', if you want to put in in such terms.

Aren't they somewhat contractually obliged to pretty much only ante-date back to Hrestol? Whereas the Rokari seem to have yet more antique ambitions in that regard... In particular regards to caste tradition, that is: all but the most barking of Rokari must accept Hrestol as a prophet, but that doesn't stop them rejecting post-Hrestol interpretations that others accept.
