This HW thingie everybody talks about

A while ago somebody asked if he could get an explanation of the HW mechanics since it was refered to and he and everyone else probably was going to buy it anyway.

He got a pretty silly answer back.

Now people are once agin juggling these funny 'www' stats around and not explaining them. Even though I don't really understand why Gian left I still consider some of you behaving pretty strange.

Consider this:

RQ is _dead_ and Glorantha is just about as dead in almost everybody's mind outside the comunity.

Then someone says that he wants to get an idea about this new system and politely asks for it. People refuse! Do you want Glorantha to be totally dead, or do you want people to know about it?

I wonder if I'm really seeing this! I hope that you guys don't think GTA membership is an investment like a pension fund. I hope you guys gave your money to make it possible to print a new good Gloranthan RPG to cherish and show all other gamers!

A good way top make the hobby grow is to create goodwill. Goodwill, my friends.

I find it hard to believe that anybody should buy a game for the system alone when we're talking about Glorantha. Aren't we all here because we think that Glorantha is a wonderful world? Then don't we want people to know about it and enjoy it too? I've gotten the impression that the exellent game KoDP has been described as a great way to introduce newbies to Glorantha, Ive done it myself. Then wouldn't it also be pretty OK to spread the word and get people interested in the new game? You could do that by giving them a small idea of the new gamesystem and maybe they'll think it's cool and buy the game.

Are you guys out of your minds? I thought we wanted to have more creative input to Glorantha, and if someone has dared enter this list they probably are possible coverts and future consumers of publications from Issaries inc.

Give the guy a break and tell him what you're talking about, especially with this Onslaught thing going on and people lobbing 'www' on each other.

After all, wasn't it David Dunham or Greg who said something about having the basics of the rules on the website in the future anyway? Would it hurt to tell this small comunity? Well, maybe it got out and somebody else got interested in our world...

I have been able to look at the new game myself, without being a GTA member, and so have everyone playing HW at cons. Consider that.

We have been having some pretty bombastic and concered letters this week, haven't we? :)

(I almost feel silly, but I believe what I say - goodwill)
