Gian Gero:

>Why the Praxian nomads are called so?

Because their holy land is Prax.

>Which is the connection between this name and Waha or Genert or even Pavis
>worshipping?

Genert was a Giant who ruled Prax and the Wastelands too. He was killed by the Devil in the Great Darkness.

The Animal Nomads are the most numerous remnant of Genert's land. Other extinct peoples included the Copper Warriors, the Sky Spears (under Yamsur), the Golden People, and the White Elves. The Oasis people and the Elves of Redwood are less sucessful survivors.

When Genert was killed, the ancestors of the Animal Nomads would have died out too like everybody else save that Waha appeared and made the Survival Covenant between Man and Beast. The Animal Nomads survive because they follow Waha and his ways.

Pavis was a hero who invaded Prax during the Imperial Age and build a Great City that bears his name. It was sacked and ruined by nomads and trolls. Pavis may have been attempting to resurrect a forgotten fragment of Genertan myth but no details are known.
