In fact, the troll would probably kill them if they tried it. Or at
least a light maiming. This is a No-No indeed! :)

If they're a good friend, than in proper troll society the local Kyger
Litor matriarch/initiate/devotee casts Darksee on them. Probably the
common solution.
If they're just some loser(s) that Sir Scissor or an Argar Argarite has dragged in, they might accommodate them -- every troll knows that AAites have big covered courtyards or windows or somethin' so's they can pal around with their hooman buddies, the surface-lovin' wackos. (Or the troll deliberately uses darkness to shaft their human friend -- try evaluating goods in total darkness...)
And Zorak Zorani temples are probably loaded with light-giving salamanders and bonfires and whatnot, the dirty heretics.
