Thanks. I'm trying not to and am trying to explain it when I do in a public
forum so that everyone can have their say on what we're doing. This also
helps me in my writing as I can find out what people like and try to fit
things in around them.

I would like to add at this point in the discussion that the simple fact that there is a discussion is useful. Before LoM I had blithely assumed that the ever reincarnating Red Emepror really was the same guy, repeatedly reincarnated, boring as anything, son of the Red Goddess. I didn't really consider the fact that the "long line of wizard kings" actually had an interesting side to it. It was just another aspect of the evil Empire with a really powerful and nasty villain at the top of it. Whether the True Red Emperor is a unique indivdual who just happens to look different, and change his interests and personality, with every incarnation is OK by me.
