This is a bit glib, but it seems to me that if you want ideas for conflicts and tests, even for moral dilemmas, you could try watching a few episodes of 'ERs' or 'Casualty' or almost any other TV medical drama. Change the impenetrable medical jargon to 'spirits of healing' and assorted soul parts (for those Dara Happan Dr Kildares), and there you have it.
