To answer from another angle: Greg drew on many mythologies in creating Glorantha, and Greek and Roman myths aren't even the main ones.

In the RQ publications, there are many ways for people to change their - -own- shapes, but the only ones I can find who can change other peoples' shapes are sorcerors and chaotics. (Oh, and followers of Nik-El, but that's not a Gloranthan cult.) Has this changed in HW?

Among Orlanthi, shapechanging seems to be a prerogative of Trickster. A Trickster can probably make you -think- you've been turned into an animal ...
