You don't persuade him. That's what he's THERE for (at least = partially). I don't know to do it mechanically, in any game system, but = the way it works on the ground is that the community ritually = transfers/assigns the blame to the Eurmali and, depending on local = tradition, either banishes the blighter or beats him like a rented mule.
