But your original conclusion was that there are _no_ correct answers nor any underlying reality. So why the difference?

Well tastes differ coz I don't find RW religions "obviously nonsensical". Since Glorantha has been modeled on such religions from the beginning, I don't see why we should have to drastically refashion it into a procustean-cosmos in which the only religious experience possible is hearing the gods speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about what they do.
