It is SO much more interesting if at least SOME of the broos had devoted themselves to the selfless worship of Buserian, or become White Moon Pacifists, or were engaged in a covert magical war against the violent unredeemed broos hiding among them, or actually attempting to work a ceremony to cleanse Malia of her taint. Or better, all of the above.

Hmm. So where would this be....I think I vote for Dorkath, the most decadent city in the world. It's the sort of place where people debate how many different kinds of baths there can be, and devote resources to invent new kinds. "Yes, yes, one might have a bath in oil, but one may not raise the temperature beyond warm, else the bathing make an erstwhile transition into cooking, which is not a noble pastime."
