Yes, I find the idea of Glamour as a source of broo overconfidence also
appealing, but even Glmaourities might want the project hidden away until
it has proved itself
Various ideas spring to mind:
- - a walled estate hidden away in the country/mountains in which broo are
taught Lunar manners and philosophies.
All seems well there but the broo engage in abominable practices when out
of sight of their teachers, and somehow keep it all hidden, until there is
a murder and the Emperor sends his best special operatives to find out how
his 'pet' project is going (scenario anyone?)
The island of Dr Moreau could form a good basis for some aspects of this.
Perhaps the broo have actually taken over, or, more likely, the
co-ordinator of the project is a broo-loving illuminated chaos nutcase
hiding behind a thin (but outwardly convincing) facade of scientific
rationalism
- - once the investigators have discovered what is going on they must kill
the ring leaders, escape with their lives and call the army
- - The Emperor sends along an armed force which quickly wipes out most of
the broo renegades, but some have escaped, and some of these were the most
hideous experiments from the secret vaults (Yes 'Call of Cthulhu' would be
a good source for the design of some of the secrets below the Chatuea).
These experiments, supported by a few normal broo (and perhaps even a
couple of broo that can pass for human) must be tracked down and
eliminated, and who better to do that than our intrepid investigators.
