There's quite a few, IMO. One fairly obvious example (so I'm probably not giving anything away about SK by mentioning it): fisherman > naval crew > sea-sorcerer.

Yup. This is one of the reasons why Loskalm has so few sorcerers compared with, say, Seshnela. Though, of course, the ones it does have all have experience as military officers, too...
