trolls and iron

        Which, if he is fighting trolls or elves, is fine.

        I think part of the problem with iron weapons for a troll is its tantamount to admitting that you are expecting to fight other trolls almost exclusively. Which, unless you are in an unusually vicious inter clan war or similar, is a pretty alarming thing for any troll to admit - likely to get the displeasure of the KL cult, at least.

        (I don't think iron weapons for fighting elves really cuts it as an excuse - elves are too wimpy in the first place to need iron weapons)

        I also think that iron weapons are probably regarded as poisoning the meat, or at least ruining the flavour, which for trolls probably ruins one of the major reasons for killing things in the first place.
