Keith Nellist:

>Did [Surgeons] get their inspiration from the Stitched Zoo?

Perhaps. It could have been the other way around.

>Do Surgeons tourists from the Heartlands want to visit Delecti to find
>out how it was done in the 'good old days'?

One for the Lunar Travel Agency. Visit the Upland Marsh: Swamp, Rain and History.

>Is there secret material in the City of 1000 magicians?

Undoubtedly.

>Could their techniques be of use in the Garden of Genert?

I think it would do more harm than good...

>Are their Heretics doing nose jobs for the sultans of Silver Shadow?

As well as heart operations for ancient Dara Happan senators, turbocharged organs for Darjiinians, replacement limbs for maimed war veterans (Bill the Lunar hero "You fool! You've given me _two_ right hands!!"), larynxes for singers in the choir ("this belong to a boy no older than ten summers..."), sex changes operations (Elagabalus, 'nuff said), replacement bodies (the two-headed Typhon in Gene Wolfe's Urth of the New Sun)...
