I read the Kunkhorn story in Anaxial's Roster. In this story Heort is listed among the Fronelan Orlanthi gods, which means his customs reached really far. So i wondered if there were any non-Heortling Orlanthi in Glorantha (and especially Genertela). People who worship Orlanth but don't know about Heort (and possibly worship another survivor hero instead).
In KoS, Heort is said to defeat Gagarth and bring back the Wand of Law. If some non-Heortlings didn't have such a hero who beats Gagarth, would their 'Orlanth' be a sort of mix between Orlanth & Gagarth? (of course Gagarth was defeated many times, but Heort's victory over him seems especially meaningful.)
I think that without Heort, the strongest would rule, and the women wouldn't have a very prominent role, except maybe as a strong natural power which could tame 'Gagarth'. As they're not fit for agriculture, those Orlanthi could rule over enthralled native people.
I have no idea of who those Orlanthi could be. I vaguely remember that someone betrayed Heort in KoS again, maybe it was at the Arrowmound Battle, but i don't have this book at hand. Then the traitors ran away toward Esrolia. Maybe some Wenelians. They could have former Hsunchen to rule over. But it's just cheap thoughts because i really don't know if 'non-Heortlings' exist.
