I think the same. I cannot imagine them, darkness worshippers, creating a god who will probably be an enemy.

By the way, if they opposed the God Project early, I suppose Arkat was a savior for them.

Well, it was only some examples. First thoughts that came to my mind... I think you've understood the basic idea I wanted to transmit, some myths explaining their origins as mixed worshippers.
