(2): they aren't actually "dinosaurs" in any RW sense. They're degenerate draconic creatures. They *look* like dinosaurs, but don't rely on palaeontology or an intimate familiarity with the works of Michael Crichton to save you in an encounter. And if dragons can survive the Dragon Pass winter, well, why would dinosaurs have any difficulty?
