John Hughes notices in Nick's Ephemeris:
> that Lightfore crosses the constellation of Lokarnos on said night

I hestitate to speak, lest I ruin a beautiful mythic moment, but I feel compelled to observe that firstly, Lokarnos is a planet, not a constellation (and as a result, isn't always in the same place on Big O.'s HHD); and secondly, I don't have Nick's program readily to hand, but I'd be cautious about what constellations Lightfore _does_ cross, since Greg has gregged Nick (and himself) on some fairly basic celestial facts since those distant days. (Like for example, the hopelessly confused statements in Elder Secrets about which way the sky dome turns, these having been resolved at least once in either direction...)

But Lightfore's path is a fascinating piece of celestial observation, and one that must surely be at least as significant in Glorantha as the Zodiac is in ancient RW astronomy. It's a darn sight easier to spot where lightfore is in the star background than where the sun is, to observe the obvious.

If you do mean Lokarnos, the planet, I'd be interested to know if there's soemthing significant happening with him on that date... (And if not, I'd be interested in which constellation was really meant.)

Good question. You'd think there'd be some "close personal friend" of Elmal's associated with this body, as with Pole Star/Rigsdal.
