Peter Larsen:

>There's sort of a general "directionality" to the four worldviews.
>[...] We have sorcery in the west, represented by the Great Sorceror
>Zzabur and the Great Prophet Malkion (of Brithos or Danmalastan, go
>figure).

Brithos is only a surviving fragment of the original Danmalastan, the Land of Logic. Other fragments of this land are Jrustela, Luathela, the Vadeli Isles and Slon.

>In the north, we have theism, represented by the Great Spirit
>Genert in Genertela.

At one point, Greg did think that Genert was the "Great Priest" rather than the "Great Spirit" but has since recanted. Who the "Great Priest" was is now unknown (possibly Murharzarm) but he was probably killed during the Gods War.

>So what is Genert doing there, anyway? I mean, I realize that it's
>a way to have the Praxians be animists (a good thing), but why does
>the world have 2 greatest spirits (although one of them is dead)?

I'm not certain that Pamalt is the "Great Shaman" of the south. That sounds more like Horned Man.

>And why is
>the northern continent, home of theism, named after a spirit?

Because it was named after the greatest magical entity there?
