on land on a small scale. I'm thinking negating delecti's effect on the land. Stake out a piece of soggy land next to the marsh. Challenge delecti to show his forces to challenge his ownership, hopefully the nasty dude doesn't turn up but some of his resident evil does in the form of zombies, ghosts etc, dependent on your power, the runelord attract the real nasty creatures the local orlanti thane attracts a few zombies with always the chance

Yes, I think so. In fact, the reverse of this is performed by the Daughters of Darkness rituals where they place new markers and cause the marsh to flow outward.

to ownership of the land. I'm thinking the ritual could be used on any ground that is under the influence of magic. It's just that you challenge only a small piece of land so the magic to undertake the ritual could be used any anyone.

I am not sure that you could actually change the magical alignment of the land. That is, the actual material of the world is made mostly of "mixed stuff." See http://www.glorantha.com/new/everything.html. Thus you would not be able to clear the land and then make it sorcerous.

I think so. Thus you might discover, after clearing that patch of marsh (or Praxian Waste, or Snakepipe Hollow) that the land was actually a powerful Animist site, but that it was suppressed by some ancient cleansing, imprisoning or other suppression.
