| That isn't how I understand Heortling thralldom to work. Everyone is
| born free, including the children of thralls. All thralls are "first
| generation" so the stock has to be replenished each generation.

The practice of freeing a female slave after she becomes pregnant is a Pentan practice, IIRC.
