Other option, they do not meet her even when they take the oath. They'd meet an elf instead who gives the token and says it's from Elamle-ata, whatever that is, material or immaterial (and maybe a seed). The plant accompanies the person in life in some peculiar way, and the fruit is given to King Kanawa before entry to paradise.
