Yikes! I'll bet chemotherapy cures the common cold too. And grenades are effective on mouse problems.

The "Presentation" stage of the Lightbringers quest, KOS p. 168 specifically mentions the need to use something besides the Baths of Nelat,   because "no one within living memory has survived it, no matter how much preparation was done."
(My guess is that Argrath probably does manage them on the way to Sheng.)

How Heroes stop or reverse aging seems to be a Big Secret. To my knowledge,   Greg has never mentioned how this occurs, though pre-HW it got mentioned as one of the things most Heroes achieved early in their Heroic status.

Jar-eel doesn't age, for example, if I recall correctly.

Here are a few guesses on my part:

Theists could get Voria's blessing.
Animists could bind a Spirit of youth or spring. Sorcerers could attempt to purify their personal Essences (Our Precious Essences, anyone?)
Mystics can Refute age.

I'd love to hear how this is Officially done, since I've got a major PC with the flaw "Old 5W" and he wants to try it.
