The Vadeli once had a kingdom in Umathela which they called Chir and the Pamaltelans remember as Oabil (hence the mention of New Oabil in glorantha: intro p236 and it's shown on the map of Pamaltela during the Artmali Period)). The Vadeli used to grab slaves from the nearby lands (hence the reason why the Pamaltelans remember it) but Oabil disppears for unknown reasons (and it's before the Vadeli get their come-uppance elsewhere).

But I don't have any information on the invasion of the Storm Gods...
