Off the top of my head, the "cleanest" way of doing this is to persuade
some relatively self-contained unit of the other clan -- say, a bloodline
- to 'defect'. (To say this is the "cleanest" is merely to recognise
that the other methods are _even more_ messy.) A more common way is
probably simply war, though. Hence the see-sawing Arfritha Vale, in
the Malan/Colymar border.
