What is Selar Darom?

Sorry to hog so much bandwidth, but I'm feeling inquisitive.

So the Hero Wars book (p.146) depicts a chaos monstrosity Selar Darom... what is it? A thing that comes out of Banir's Gate? Or the 3-armed demon that slaughters Jaldon's Horde? Or something else that we dare not ask about? :)
