Mermen and fire

A thought occurs to me - mermen would find it pretty hard to use fire to forge weapons, but if they work with rune-metal maybe they don't need to.=  =

and it's a routine task for a crafter to transfer one to the other. Mayb= e
a merman smith can turn the metal liquid, pour it into a mould, then retu= rn
it to solid?
