The Rokari, of course do not believe in Caste Mobility (It is one of the corruptions of Malkion's way that led to the God Learners heresy and downfall). They are not, however hidebound Brithini, unable to function outside of their caste, so the idea of "Fighting" Lords need not be so strange as might at first appear.

Also, based on my Character in "How the West was Won" (OK, maybe not a Canon source, but my closest examination of the Malkioni...) while the Rokari may not have mobility between castes it is not necessarily the case that every Rokari has the same caste as their father

"You are Vancelain du Tumerine (the great trading and banking family of Nolos), Bishop of Nochet and Malkonwal. You are a follower of the Rokari sect of Malkionism.

You were born into a junior branch of the du Tumerine family in Noloswal in the Duchy of Nolos. This marked you out for the wizard’s caste, and you were indentured as an apprentice to Rokari School of Wizards in Noloswal. "

To me, this suggests that just as younger sons of European Noble Houses would enter the church, so to do the younger sons of Rokari Nobles join the Wizards Caste. My suggestion would be that children are outside of the Caste system, so until their "coming of age", they may potentially join any caste (although the vast majority do, in fact join their fathers caste).
