Idovanus was called VioVanus in Early myth of Wendaria as one leader of children of Visarudaran.
Ganesatarus was called GanEstoro or Erstoro in Orogeria and Kenstrata of Darsen Cycles. [Entekosiad]
YarGan was called Arganum in GROY, kiyargan in Bisos Cycle.

Or as you suggested about your idea for "Idovanus cult preaches to barbarians", that the death of "Carmanos" cult might indicate that the mediator caste exists between rigid magus of Brinnus and other carmanians, just a vague thought.
My obscure memory of Pelorian Trilogy suggests that under Bull Shahs, that Yelm was worshipped as Idovanus under conquered tripolis....I don't think the system of Good God Worship is same in Old day as modern West Reach.

And some one says (Loren or Nick? I can't recall...) that under Dark Shahs, Ganesatarus cult was permitted only under the strict control of the direct descendant of Carmanos, maybe it is similar to the attitude of Red Emperor to Crimson Bat....
