I think that there is only one Underworld that links all the other worlds together, just like the mundane and Hero Planes. Of course there are many different places in the Underworld though it may not be easy to find the way from one of these places to another.

It seems, from his recent postings, that Greg is reconsidering his classification of the Outer world as being an otherworld, in particular the Hero Plane. And this is a Good Thing (TM).

Another possible source of confusion is that, during the late Greater Darkness (or Chaos Age), all of the worlds were mixed together and it was difficult of impossible to tell the living from the dead. When someone quests to this time, there is just one world. Orlanth started the LBQ before the decay/mixing was complete and entered the Underworld while it was still separate. But by the end of the quest, the only place left was the tattered and decayed remenants of all of the places and planes of Glorantha. An strangely enough, this is exactly how many cultures percieve the Underworld in post-Dawn Glorantha.
