Hi there,

As I had warned awhile ago on the Digest and on the HQ-List I have finished accepting votes for the Mything Links story contest. I received a total of 11 votes (you know who you are:-)).

The top 10 most popular stories based on total vote rank were:

Helden - Fires of Mist & Wind-Blown Snow - John Hughes The Finest Music - A Far Place Bloodline Tale - John Hughes The Saga of the Gwandorlings - Wesley Quadros Sheng Seleris and the Black King of Alkoth - Martin Laurie How Orlanth Fixed the Hole in the Roof - Bruce Ferrie Anaxial's Rooster - Nick Brooke
The Fox King - Nick Brooke
Argrath the Stickpicker - Nick Brooke
The Story of Aye and Bee - Michael Cule How Lhankor Mhy Lost His Beard - Oliver D. Bernuetz

see http://www.geocities.com/bernuetz/mything/contest.html

And of course the top 10 most popular authors (based on number of their stories voted for) were:

Nick Brooke
John Hughes
Martin Laurie
Bruce Ferrie
Oliver D. Bernuetz
Jim Chapin
David Dunham
Loren Miller
Sandy Petersen
Harald Smith

see http://www.geocities.com/bernuetz/mything/authors.html

(It was actually a three way tie between Nick, John and Martin for most popular author based on the number of their stories which received votes but John received the most votes based on how his stories were rated by voters with Nick placing second in that ranking).

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read and vote. (And thanks to everyone who voted for my stories. I am honoured to be placed so high among such an august company).

Next January I will hold another vote just for this year's additions.

PS Will I categorically refuse to accept any more votes? Probably not. It's not the Academy awards or anything after all.
