5th-7th September
Herriot Watt University
Edinburgh
Welcome! Five weeks to go till the con, and we are busy arranging entertainment for you good people. The list of games and events is growing daily, but the current highlights include :
G U E S T O F H O N O U R
Sandy Petersen
Author of Call of Cthulhu, writer of more good Gloranthan stuff than can be believed, designer of computer games from Doom to Age of Mythology. What more can we say? Sandy is a legend, and we're very proud to have him.
F R E E F O R M S
Evil High Priest
by Sandy Petersen
(Saturday, All Day)
An enormous eight hour Cthulhu LARP. The players are all awful horrible villains attending the final Grand Conventicle to determine the fate of Earth. Play Wilbur Whateley, the High Priest of Leng, the Shoggoth, or Great Cthulhu himself. Sign ups for this game have just begun.
The UzBournes
(Sunday Morning)
An everyday tale of simple dark folk. Who will lead the clan into the next year? Will the Zorak Zorani berserkers complete their murderous ritual? What's that trollkin doing sneaking around? And, more importantly, who'll win the Trollball? Sign ups for this game have just begun.
Carry On Up Camp David
(Saturday Evening)
A very serious political LARP.
Murder at the Grey Dog Inn
(Friday Evening)
A murder mystery in a classic Gloranthan setting.
H E R O Q U E S T
Beak No Evil
Bad Boon Rising
Being, Two Twagedies in Five Acts
A single session HeroQuest (kinda) module by John Hughes and friends. A sort of beer-and-pretzels affair, though distinctly lacking in pretzels. Play the fweedom-loving Heortling ducks, play the imperious Lunar baboons or (shudder) team one against the other in a ruthless battle where only the GM walks tall.
Attack of the Wolfmen
By Neil Smith. The Telmori werewolves are terrorising the tula, and only a band of plucky adolescents can stop them.
The Great Lobster Drive
By James Frusetta. Tastes in the Lunar Empire change wildly. Your boss believes that Giant Lobsters are just the thing this season. Now, all you have to do is get the Trolls of Skyfall Lake to sell you some, then herd them back across northern Dragon Pass...

Win a Cthulhu Game with Sandy Petersen
Sandy will be running Call of Cthulhu on Sunday Afternoon. There's sure to be more people wanting to play than places available, so to make it fair, we're going to raffle off places in the game. Limit of one ticket per person, with the draw immediately before the game starts at 2:00pm.
Other Call of Cthulhu
I know we've got at least two CoC scenarios running, but no one has given me any details yet...

Scotscon couldn't be easier to reach. By plane, Edinburgh International
Airport is about three miles away. By train, buses and taxis go straight to
Herriot Watt University from Edinburgh Waverley, the main station with
direct trains to most of the UK. By car, take the M8 (from the north and
west) or A1 (from the south) towards Edinburgh, and pick up the City Bypass
(A720). Leave the Bypass at the Lanark (A71) exit, and follow signs to the
university - about four hundred yards from the junction!
