I'm going to do it this way. If you are not
interested, please scroll away.
You remember the Carmanian Destori who killed Garreth?
Since he initiated to Orlanth (from Invisible Orlanth)
in 1615 (and in 1989 Real World Time) before I was
even aware of Orlanth Adventurous or Orlanth
Thunderous, and the player clearly stated many times
that his Destori wants to become a Wind Lord (Disciple
of Wind), and the Godi that performed the ceremony is
an old wheezer, wise but tamed by years, even if
called Beldan Stormvoice, but he (Beldan) has
currently no clan to refer to (in Horn Gate, 1619 Dark
Season), kin yes, clan no, I resolve that:
- Beldan initiated the Bindle Carmanian (who has not
strong kin or cultural ties that he is aware of to
Carmania) from Invisible Orlanth because the Carmanian
asked, being in Prax and having nothing better
available (and having no sympathy for the Lunar
Church) to Orlanth Adventurous. I suppose that a Godi,
initiated to Orlanth Thunderous, can initiate to
(almost) any subcult of Orlanth, especially in the
Lightbringer shrine of HornGate.
OTOH, Beldan didn't tie a kinship with Piotr (the
Carmanian).
- Piotr (now devotee of Destor and member of Cold
Wind, HeroBand of anti-Lunars lead by Argrath
Maniskisson and featuring Krogar Wolfhelm as
supporting would-be Wind Lord and as co-Patron to
Piotr in agreement with Beldan who is too old for the
adventurous Destori to give advice to) has no current
kinship with the Heortling, but only a remote kin in
Carmania.
I suppose that Krogar is not a WindLord in 1619 since
the discipleship would mean he is constantly monitored
by the Empire which conflicts with his (moderately)
low-profile attitudes.
Does Krogar feature in any future Issaries Book with a
definite status, AFAYouK?
- Due to campaign reasons, Piotr has met Mosha
Thunderhoof, who in Borderlands is a Rhino Rider and a
Priest of Orlanth; Mosha is associated to Cold Wind
Band (together with other personalities like Akasta
Ironspear, late Garreth Sharpsword, Argrath
Akastasson-would-be-WhiteBull, Edlaron
Menit-would-be-Argrath-Dragonfriend and
Arlaten-the-Magus-would-be-Argrath-Arlaten) and has
joined a brotherhood of arms with Piotr according to
Praxian customs. Mosha is an exceptional Praxian, of
course, maybe half-sartarite or half-pygmish since he
is a Priest of Orlanth and had Impala friends. In the
Orlanth is Dead campaign he will "become" Iskallus
Breathes-Free (in 1621, from Barbarian Adventures). So
Piotr is now "kin" (according to Heortling/Praxian
customs) to Mosha-Iskallus.
- Degan Stormson, whom Piotr in the past convinced to
flee from his Sun Dome Temple exile, is the witness of
Garreth madness and slaying and is Piotr's friend and
would-be follower. He is connected to Kallyr via
Orngerin and Javern, as in Orlanth is Dead.
- Burrasca the White and Durk Jonriksson are likely
to become Piotr's allies or followers with their
bands, when the time is right; but in any Heortling
ceremony, Piotr is called Dragonhelm (his battle name
in the Cold Wind organization, since he skinned Krang
the Dragon from the Five Eyes Temple) and Kin to
Rhinos (due to Mosha's blood pact). This kinship is
necessary for story reasons and also to soften the
natural suspect a Carmanian Destori can stir in Prax
(among the Heortlings, not among the Imperials) and
tomorrow in Sartar/Dragon Pass.
- Since Piotr's favourite weapon is a Crossbow
(unusual for Heortlings, not so for Carmanians) he
will discover an ancient daimon or hero-cult which
will change his Crossbow in his Awakened Servant when
(and if) he will become a Wind Lord; or will impress
me with his creativity and boldness (or maybe just
because he righteously killed Garreth Sharpsword but I
doubt it, as for today).
*Phew* it's over!
Ciao,
Gian
