I've wondered for a while if something like <http://ark.media.mit.edu/iceland/0101/eos1v-1/MH-04/i640/MH-04-35.jpg> is what much of the Great Darkness looked like in Dragon Pass. While the mountain is a bit short here, it's easy to imagine that it portrays Elmal shining from atop Kero Fin.
