Only the Third Eye Blue smiths come to my mind. But I'd not know what it'd cow for a king to arrenge one of these gypsies to work for him. And how would kings ring take view to the stranger.

But I could easily think of some misunderstanding, quarrel, argument about enchanting, refining, reforging and payment issues regarding arrangements with the Third Eye Blue (collar thieves).

"What does the smith say?! That his daughter must get to marry the prince for him to do his iron work proper for the king!?"

ALSO Based on information by "Roderick and Ellen Robertson" - thanks. "We know that orlanthi know Seven Ways to Enchant Iron!"

Inginew's, Humakt's, Babester's, Storm Bull's (the four normal ways) Orlanth's, Maran's, Lhankor Mhy's! (upper, lower and no-way)

Each way less refined and more (en)chanted than the way before it. Storm Bull's way may not distinquish from violently drunk rampage. Orlanth's and Maran's enchant propably need a minor heroquest/ritual.

But... to have Lhankor Mhy enchant iron is brilliant!

It much amuses me to think of king's redsmith doing the iron works co-operating with the king's sage who is beard trembling mumbling misapplied mumbojumbo from some Torvald scroll fragment. :)

Worried like hell over the fragile fragment and metalmelting heat.
