I don't know of any rules or myths, but I can tell you that my Humakti PC firmly believes this to be the case. And she probably isn't the only Humakti to do so.

According to her (and she may well be completely wrong), any duel between two Humakti is, ideally, decided by Humakt, not by the duellists. But it's easier for him to intervene if the duellists in question are being as Humakti as they can, so they're as close to him as they can get and as "susceptible" to his influence as possible. Which of course means fighting as well as they possibly can. Some of her friends suggest that this is philosophical b*lls**t and she should spend less time contemplating her own navel/sword: but they don't say this forcefully enough to provoke any duels on the subject.
