>What about Urnbudud? Isn't that The Sword in the stars [ie Humakt]?
>(I may be confused, but the GRoY 56,88 is still worth checking out.)

The name is related to Doburdun, the Thunder God of Darsen. I would treat it as a subcult of Doburdon (teaching the affinity of Sword Combat) that could be picked up by Shargash, Orlanth or Vadrus.

>(Perhaps the Young God myth could be told/true about Humakt?)

The Dara Happans would have no problem in saying that the Young God gets defeated by Humakt.

>Could the Arkat connection be the important one [for placing
>Humakt in Fronela]?

Except that Humakt in Fronela predates Arkat.

>Didn't the Carmanians have a
>connection to Talor the Laughing warrior?

The Loskalmi do, the Carmanians do not. I don't know the details why. Perhaps the Talorites were whole-hearted supporters of the Abiding Book?

>Could it have been some of Arkat's
>remainders with him who brought Humakt to the
>Loskalm region as an version of the honorable
>knight?

Except that Arkat never met up with Talor until the very end (and relations soured shortly afterwards). There is a stronger connection with Harmast but since the latter never brought home any Malkioni cults, I'm dubious that Talor should import Humakt.
