I think Ian's right. All though I believe that the Heortlings are more technologically sophisticated than the Iron Age British, I do not think that they make use of western full plate. I think they periodically ('frex, during the later Gbaji Wars, during the wars over Saird in the Second Age, and so on) make use of things like plate cuirasses, but ultimately rejected them in favor of chain as the preferred armor of elite warriors.  Jeff
