As Adari-ites (?) in Pavis are fond of pointing out, Pavis hiimself was from Adari. The Pavisites then reply that one of his many acts of wisdom was to leave Adari and never return.

Sounds like a fair summary.

Back in 1997, I wrote this:

"Adari is a frontier and trading town on the borders of Dagori Inkarth and Prax. It was first settled in the Dawn Age and is also the birth-place of Pavis, but has since been razed and rebuilt often. The city teems with adventurers, mercenaries, scruffy merchants, thieves, and other nondescripts. Trolls are constant visitors, as are independant trollkin and other strange beings. Issaries has a fine temple there."

I'm not sure what sources I used for that: both Tales articles, I think.
