Sorry, I'm being slow here. A group of us looked at this on the Whitewall list a while back, and I'd intended to go back through what we said there and answer both these questions. It's sliding down my "to-do" list :(

I don't think the theories we came up with ever settled down, or made it onto the Wiki.

I know we were considering using it as a Vingkot myth for Broyan to reenact, mainly so as to establish his "identity" as Vingkot, and ISTR Kallyr was going to take the Orlanth part, leaving WW and going back to Sartar (where I'm sure she could find something to do).
