Another version of the story tells how King Bryon and his followers Teleported onto the Bat, killed the controlling Bat Priests, then Teleported back to safety. Message-ID: <02D1FD0968014F44@delphi.intel.com> Date: 9 Mar 93 20:57:00 GMT Hi, Has anyone done anything with cult/society initiation rituals? I'm planning a run (this friday) for a starting group (one RQ/Glorantha player), where I plan to run the initiation of a bunch of teenagers into Sartarite society. While I've got some ideas, I'm just wondering if anyone else had done this. As far as the Lunar pigs are concerned, everyone knows that they embrace chaos, and spread their filthy ways among the clean and pure Orlanthi. No right thinking man can long stomach their abuses. What have the Lunars ever done for us? ;-) (Focus of the campaign is to be Bonny Prince(ess) Starbrow, running like Scotland ca 1698-1745. Our heros get to be Wrong-but-Romantic, the Lunars Right-but-Repulsive) Roderick Robertson Robertson@delphi.intel.com --------------------- From: tsl@mulga.cs.mu.OZ.AU (Tim Leask) Subject: Re: Lunar PC's Message-ID: <9303100008.5934@mulga.cs.mu.OZ.AU> Date: 10 Mar 93 15:08:39 GMT I was involved in a long standing campaign using Lunar PC's. All the PC's bar one were from a noble household in Northern Peloria, with lands on the Eolian Border. The first thing that happened was that the PC's family were discredited due to a dart war the PC's were forced to leave town for a while and so joined the Lunar Imperial Forces (as opposed to the highly factionalised local provincial mob) as a method of evading their foes. The PC's were then sent to Aggar and had to try and put down a revolt by local auxillaries. The PC's were then made scapegoats by enemies in high places, stripped of all rank and sent to Sartar. After the PC's recovered the standard of the lost 7th legion they were able to curry favour with the powers that be and returned home with a Lunar Regiment to restore the family name. Many political machinations followed the upshot of which was the diminishing of Solar influence and the increase of the PC's provincial power. Oh and the Bat also paid a visit. It was a fun campaign and was much more involved and varied than the standard "we hate the Lunars" type campaign. It wasn't always clear who was friend and who was foe and someone who was a friend one minute could be a foe the next and vice versa.
