I had a place in old campaign that acted in a similar fashion. The memories of the person came to life. But the simulacra thus created were crafted soley from the mind of the person involved. So if Joe Adventurer went into the cave and he tried to focus on the memory of his dead mentor who forgot to tell him the location of some secret treasure the simalacrum wouldn't know. Or worse if Joe thought he knew but wasn't sure there could be a chance the simalacrum would tell him what he wanted to hear basically. And since the simalacrum would be in everyway just like Joe remembered why would Joe suspect what was going on? -- Curtis Shenton curtiss@netcom.com internet & 4@3091 WWIVnet Ever design your own magic or psionic system in an RPG?
