Umm, have you *seen* an Elephant up close? >>

I'm not saying it'd be particularly easy - particularly if the elephant objects to being lifted! :-)

<< >I'd have thought he could, myself. As easily as a person of typical

...either that or you have a very different picture of how strong the Clan Strongman is...>>

I assume, given the Large of the elephant at 5W2, that by 'clan strongman' the questioner meant someone in at least the upper end of the first mastery. That's pretty damn huge IMO, and well beyond normal human limits.

<< I'm not sure of the weights involved, I suppose some of the Powerlifters and the like might lift the mass of an elephant, >>

They couldn't, not by a long stretch. But they're hardly in the upper range of the first mastery of Strong, IMO. A Strong of, say, 15W (still a fairly low chance of lifting the elephant) is somewhere in the region of STR 60 in RQ terms, IMO.

BTW, I doubt your typical 'clan strongman' is actually this strong, unless lifting stuff is something the clan specialises in, but I assumed for purposes of the answer that the person asking the question meant 'a person strong enough for the rules to say that he could lift something of Large 5W2', since it would be pretty pointless him asking the question otherwise. He interpreted that as a clan strongman, which I don't, but that's a matter of the level of your game, and not (I assume) what he was asking about.

Forward the glorious Red Army!
