I think it's true to say that they worship the whole (Great) god, but what they don't have is an _emulatory_ relationship to same. Great Gods are essentially "too big" for an emulatory relationship, which is (part of) what the Orlanthi do with their gods, which is why that mode of worship is kinda screwed up for them. (A "more correct" relationship with such a being would be an adorational, communal pure scacrificial, or some sort of "mystical" one, all of which is more akin to what the Pelorians do.)
