Actually the above _is_ a description of purchasing power. Being able to get credit, having a good rep, etc, enhances your "purchasing power" beyond the "cash in hand" you have...

Yeah, but the cow is something else you can use as "cash", as long as you don't mind parting with it... (Or it might increase your "credit rating", since you now have colateral...)

The above quote is also an objection to by "big table" idea, but not really a fatal one, since I was suggesting it as a guideline for "look and feel" purposes...
