Good point. We just sort of cut out the die-roll and give a +1/10. Fast, dirty and not very rewarding if you're powerful. Of course, we have the weekely spending of a HP by the resident "Bear Guy" to turn his +5 into a +10 Bear's Strength. It makes him very nasty in close combat but he's sacrificing a hero point each major combat to do it (mind you, it often saves him from spending HP later when he fumbles)
