I think that Liturgical* blessings generally affect the congregation, so I'm not sure you can "bless" a none worshipper, as such**. You can certainly curse them, however, so in theory it should work.

• The Liturgist is the "religious leader" of the community (your local vicar, say where the Wizards are the bishops and arch-bishops), so their magical power is tied quite strongly to the community. A wizard, or even more so, a sorceror might be more likely to bless people outside of the immediate congregation...
