Remember that the default is 6 for any ability you don;t have, so going for 10-rounding-up means that you can always get a +1 autoaugment, no matter how bizare the new abilit you suddenly declare! (Flatter Blind Hunchbacks. Rabbit-Hurling. Identify Goats by Touch. Befuddle Darksense By High-Pitched Whine...)
